Ignite Internships
Ignite is a year-long internship programme facilitated by Eastside Community Church in Pretoria, South Africa.
The ignite internship has a dual focus:
Discipling and growing young adult Christian leaders through discipleship, training and ministry exposure AND Enhancing and supplementing the ministry of local churches. This includes current and future ministry opportunities as well as external ministry opportunities and ministry within the local church context.
Particularly in 2010, with the focus that the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup provides, Ignite will have a particular emphasis on preparing for, ministering during and following up after the World Cup. Core ministry focus areas for the 2010 Ignite programme will be:
Paving the way for outreach in under-resourced partner churches; Inner City school ministry at Sunnysde Primary School; Developing & implementing sideline ministry opportunities to complement soccer ministry; Establishing a Soccer Academy; Running & facilitating Super League Holiday Clubs at local and in under-resourced partner churches; Trailer ministry during the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.
