Information Collection and Use
The Eastside Group collects personally identifiable information when you complete a digital connect card, check-in at a church service, register for an event, install the Church Center app and link it to Eastside Community Church, make an enquiry for admittance at Eastside School or enrol at Eastside school. Eastside Community Church also collects information from your browser including browser type, browser version, browser settings, operating system, pages visited on our websites, your IP Address, and Cookies. Eastside uses this information for the purpose of gathering statistics and ensuring that the site continues to operate properly with commonly used operating systems and browsers. Your IP Address will be stored and used for security purposes to prevent fraud and other illegal activity.
Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from submitting personal information to Eastside Community Church. South African law prohibits websites from collecting and/or distributing personal information from children without parental consent.
Eastside will share information with persons requiring records of how their personal information has been processed and will process any update, correction or deletion requests within 24 business hours.
Information is hosted primarily on the Planning Center Onlinesystem which links directly with the ChurchCenter App; Mailchimp and D6. The Eastside group may send your personal information to others when required to do so by law or by contractual agreement of event presenters.
The mailing list is a list that may be used by The Eastside Group to inform you of upcoming events and/or special services, or any relevant information necessary for your involvement at Eastside Community Church, Eastside School or Abbas Pride. This includes a weekly Snapshot email from the Senior Pastor. You have the option of opting out of the mailing list at anytime by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of every email.
Various whatsapp groups exist within the organisation that assist us to communicate with members, attendees, volunteers, staff, parents and service providers. No one will intentionally be added to a Whatsapp group without their consent, and any user may remove themselves from a group without discrimination at any time.
